Sacred Heart Foundation’s new giving society, “300 Hearts,” met recently to decide how to spend $17,000 in gifts contributed since the group’s establishment in 2009. Members in attendance voted to spend funds on a much-needed mother/baby monitor to replace outdated equipment on the St. Louise unit in Sacred Heart Women’s Hospital. The device will monitor maternal contractions and fetal well-being.

Designed to develop a culture of philanthropy, 300 Hearts is a charitable giving group within Sacred Heart Foundation to support Sacred Heart Women’s & Children’s Hospital. Members give $300 a year and gather once a year to hear presentations on the special needs of Sacred Heart’s Women’s & Children’s Hospital. During the meeting, members vote on how their combined gifts will be used.
